Welcome to Blade Books

At Blade Books, speculative fiction is more than escapism. Imagined worlds can elevate dreams and deepen nightmares. The best fantasies have thought provoking ideas along with characters who blur the lines between good and evil.

The author, Burke Fitzpatrick, is not an international bestseller. He’s not even internet famous, but his books do have a cult-like following. Literally thousands of people wish he would write faster. He’s working on it. No, really, he is. When he’s not on a street corner holding a sign that reads “Will Write For Food,” he is slaving away at a keyboard.

An eclectic weirdo who will read and write anything, he holds degrees in graphic design, computer information systems, and an MFA in Creative Writing. He has worked as a dishwasher, a fry cook, a parking lot attendant, a tutor, a graphic designer, a software engineer, and a server administrator. Some fools once gave him secure access to a data center. After a long stint in cubicle land, he took a break to focus on writing.

He and his wife share a home in the midwest with a senile cat.
